Spring is finally here! We can now look forward to better weather and getting out to enjoy ourselves.

My last three 2008 shows, Vancouver, Toronto and Chicago, were successful. Not only sales at the shows, I have received several follow-ups. With my second year at Chicago, I have established a following of individuals interested in my artwork. For my first exhibition in Vancouver at the One of a Kind Show, there was a lot of interest in my artwork and I was able to make a number of connections. I would like to share an email that I received from one of my Vancouver visitors.

"Back in the 1900's I used to attend the One of a Kind Show in Toronto when my daughter was at U of T. It was always a highlight of my trip. I need to tell you that your display that I saw today in Vancouver has remained in my mind. There were two booths that particularly excited me. Yours was one and the other was a fibre art display. It was hard to move on from your display. Some of the images are still with me and I am enjoying looking at your website. What a gift you have. My father was a woodcarver and musician and he encouraged me. I have tried to do the same with my now grownup children. I encourage you Dale and look forward to seeing some more of your work next year."

It has been sometime since my last newsletter but it has been a busy time in preparation for my 2009 exhibition schedule. I will be back in Vancouver and Chicago for the One of a Kind Shows again. Also, I am very excited to announce that I signed the contract for the New York City One of a Kind Show in December. This will be my first exhibition in New York. Below is the current listing of my upcoming 2009 exhibitions.

While I may not be doing as many exhibitions this year, please stay tuned for some exciting news and new artwork.

Website Updates

I am in the process of updating my galleries with additional images from my portfolio. You can now view my entire '2006 Tree Series' in the Trees Gallery. Also, I have added images to the Floral, Industrial, Maritime and Urban Galleries. Please remember that last year I made a change to the gallery pages to keep them shorter, I will be only showing the five current images as thumbnails. You can view the full gallery by clicking on a thumbnail and all the images within the gallery will be available for your viewing. Please watch for further updates to the galleries.
